When a Rate Plan is added in CPQ the change in the UI is minimal, a checkmark instead of a plus symbol and the label 'Added' instead of 'Add' When adding many Rate Plans it would be clearer to give them a different color as well, green would be preferable.

When making a new subscription and account with a Quote in salesforce - if the bill to and sold to are the same it still creates 2 duplicate contacts on the account - as the bill to and sold to. c/w Zuora UI where if you have the same person it only makes 1 contact and makes that the bill to and sold to. Could quotes do the same thing please?

This would help a lot - to configure and test Guided Product Selector in Production & assign it to certain users only. Also in some cases Product catalog in Sandbox is out-dated, so now we need to manually create the same products in Zuora Sandbox and do the tests there.. having this fetaure in Production would be great!

How contacts are handled from salesforce to zuora causes issues with maintenance and updates to the contacts. Currently, the out of the box quote package creates duplicate contacts in zuora when creating a new customer. The API needs to allow for one single contact to be used for both the sold to and bill to contact without creating duplicate contacts in zuora.

The quote Special Notes and Terms (1000 chars) but is forcibly mapped to Subscription Notes (500 chars) when creating a subscription. This means the user can enter 1000 characters only to get an error that it must be 500 characters. This is very bad UX. Since you develop both systems, please ensure fields that are forcibly mapped are the same length in both systems. Ideally make both fields MUCH bigger as even 1000 characters isn't really enough.

We want to emphasize the use the of the Product Filter, and have it expanded by default so that users use the filter effectively. In addition we'd like the option to have the Rate Plans expanded by default - particularly after the filters have been adjusted - rather than having a user click the "Select Plan" button each time.

At the moment I am only able to create Invoice Templates or Communication Profiles in the Quote Config. As we are using the advanced invoice settlement we also have templates for Credit and Debit Memos. All our new customers come via Salesforce to Zuora and it would be great to get the ability to also assign Credit and Debit Memo Templates for an Account on the Salesforce Quote which is then synched to Zuora. At the Moment we need to make a manual update on every Account in Zuora to assign the correct templates at the end.

Currently when an Amendment or a Renewal quote is created, the CPQ package retrieves the List Price from Product Catalog (PRPC) , rather than from the subscription rate plan charge. In the example below, the product rate plan has an annual list price of $ 5000 . This was overridden to be sold with a Quarterly price of $1250 and a discount of 12% to make effective price $ 1100 Now at the time of renewal/amendment the List Price is being pulled from the product catalog at $5000 while the effective price is from the subscription rate plan charge. Thsi results in a displayed discount of 78% which is not correct. This is causing a lot of confusion among the sales reps where it appears they heavily dissounted the old product and is not a correct reproesentation of subscription data. When we make a renewal quote and add an additional product - that product is only added from the date that the renewal takes effect. As customers often renew a couple months in advance, it would nice to add the additional product to start from now, and then be renewed for a futher 12 months with the rest.

Sometimes a quote contains charges that do not need to be shown to the end customer, particularly for usage charges, but filtering them out if very difficult and not user friendly using mailmerge. Would be great to have a way to do this by not showing charges with a certain custom or standard field value.

Zuroa API returns "Operation failed due to an unknown error" for different scenarios. This error message is returned via the API, which is also displayed in Salesforce when the Quote is generating the preview metrics. This error can arrise from different reasons. One is Avalara has an error due to configuration issues, but the user does not know until a Zuora Support agent looks into the error in the backend. Another reason for this error could be the Payment Gateway is not properly set up. You can view existing tickets where this confusion has occured due to vague error messages. I've incorporated an approval process with my org's quoting process. It would be advantageous and convenient to have the pfd / word generated preview auto-attach to the Quote details page much like it auto-attaches to the opportunity page. This would make it easier for the approver to review and one less step for the requester in submission.

We have many deals that have fluctuating pricing throughout a contract term of three years. Unfortnately the first year needs to be pushed into Zuora from Salesforce and then manipulated from there via mutiple amendments. It would be great if we were able to construct the entire three year contract on the quote and provide it to the customer and reflect the different pricing per year.

When refreshing a Salesforce sandbox, all Zuora Config settings in Salesforce are lost (they are set back to default values). This means that after each refresh, you have to manually configure all the settings all over again. My idea is to be able to export this configuration before the sandbox refresh and to be able to import it back to the sandbox after the refresh. Benefit: This would avoid hours of painful manual administration work at each refresh.

We had several project on Zuora Quote where customers required to create the quote amendment or Renewal from Subscription and not from Account or opportunity.
Regarding the process, it makes more sence. Users need to be able to create quotes more quickly, and the current process obliged user to use the Select Account Page (Select Account and the subscription).
I suggest a Custom button on the subscription Record. When the user Click, he is direcly redirect to the Quote Creating page.

When using Discount Charges within a rate plan we would like to prevent a user from being able to edit the Product Discount % field - they should only be able to edit the actual Discount Charge (using the hyperlink and pop-up) Currently it seems we have no option to lock this field - which means we need to use Rules Engine or Validation Rules to reactively reset to 0 and alert the user.

In step 1 of the guided selling process, If we select product A1, we can display product B, C and D in step 2 based on the 'Include Context Filters' field called ‘Product Dependency’. What we are looking to do is find a way to show a different list of products under Product A1 and A2. Step 1 Product Selected Product A1 Product A2 Step 2 Products to Appear Product B Product C Product D Product B Product C Product D Product E * Product F * * Should only appear for the late A2 Product The challenge we are facing is that a Product field called ‘Product Dependency’ that is used in the ‘Context Filters’ can only have 1 value and the product that you select in step 1 needs to match with the products you want to have appear in step 2. There are 3 products that we want to appear with product A1 so we have a value in the ‘Product Dependency’ set to ‘A1’. We then have 5 products we want to appear with product A2, so we want have a value in the 'Product Dependency' set to 'A2', but we cannot have two values on product A2, so we set it to A2 for products A2, E & F and E/F show up correctly when product A2 is selected but the B/C/D products do not appear when A2 is selected in step 1 as they do not have a value that matches. When we set the Step 1 product (A1) to be ‘A1’, and we select this product in step 1, only B/C/D products will appear in step 2, exactly as we want. How can I get products B/C/D to appear in step 2 when A1 or A2 is selected and have products E/F appear in step 2 only when A2 is selected? This is something that is very powerful and we were glad to hear that this was possible from our implementation team, but now that we are facing this issue, there seems like there should be a feature or option to allow us to do this. The only solution we can think of at this time is to duplicate products B/C/D (B1/B2) and set the 'Context Filter' field to match the product selected in step 1. But this creates duplicate products that need to be managed going forward. Is there a way to allow the context filter field to be a 'Multi-select' list? This would allow us to set multiple values that would display the step 2 products. This would mean that custom fields in Zuora would need to allow for a multi-select picklist. Or are there any other ways of achieving this?
