Here is the entire process to set up your Revenue and Finance Settings:
Steps to take to set up Revenue
1.Set Roles and Permissions
2. Set up Chart of Accounts/ Accounting codes (also known as GL #'s)
3. Set up Accounting Periods- Best practice to create at least 3 years in advance
4. Configure Accounting Rules
5. Set up Revenue Automation Date- After Revenue Automation Start Date is set, Zuora will start managing Revenue Schedules for new transactions (e.g. invoices) created on or after this date (regardless of the actual invoice date -- it looks at the creation date). This only applies to new transactions created with transaction dates on or after the Revenue Automation Start Date.
Zuora will not retroactively create Revenue Schedules for existing transactions, even if their transaction dates fall on or after the Revenue Automation Start Date.
