unable to activate product rate plans in multi-currency
Known Issue: unable to activate product rate plans in multi-currency
The are a few isolated reported incidents wherein users are not able to activate product rate plans in a different currency. The issue is encountered when using the function "Edit price in multi-currency" of the web user interface. For some reason it is not saving.
It was reported that after hitting the "Activate" button for a specific product rate plan to enable the pricing on a different currency, then clicking on the button "save" at the bottom of the pop-up window, the entire process does not seem to work as users are still unable to create subscriptions using the recently activated product rate plan on a different currency.
Upon further checking, the issue reported is caused by the number of available rate plans and rate plan charge tiers of a specific product. Due to the large number available rate plans and rate plan charge tiers of a specific product, the action to activate pricing for another currency takes time to complete and at times stops -- failing to complete the entire process. However, this issue is not visible from the web user interface. (users are not prompted that the attempt to activate the price in a different currency was not completed)
Status: the internal team of Zuora is working on assessing and addressing this issue.
Reference Number: DE10362/PROD-122
One reported incident is that the Zuora environment ONLY has 4 active currencies -- thus editing the prices in multi-currency will display the price tier for all the 4 active currencies. User are not prompted to select a specific currency to modify.
The work around is to activate another currency in Z-Billing Settings, making the tenant to have a total of 5 active currencies. The action of "Editing prices in multi-currency" will prompt the user to select at most 4 currency at a time -- by just selecting 2 currencies, the action to activate the price in another currency will become successful.
