New Option "Use Email Template Setting" When Emailing

We noticed this new option coming up when manually emailing out invoices from the Invoice screen (attached).

What does it do? Clicking the question mark does not provide any information.

Can you confirm if this is a new feature, or I may have inadvertently change a setting? Thanks!

When checked, this setting will email the invoice based on the default email template setting for the Email Template: "Invoice Posted Default Email Template".

 

When unchecked, you can email the invoice to any email address you enter into the given field, as was the original behavior prior to the change.
