Regenerate an Invoice PDF on payments to an invoice

Currently the PDF invoice regenerates automatically for payments created on the invoice.  However, when payments are applied to an invoice (using account Unapplied payments), the invoice PDF is not automatically regenerated to reflect the data on the invoice object.

Is this an issue with the invoice settlement feature or only apply to "unapplied payments"?

No, but we work with the invoice balance rather than the invoice amount on our template. Meaning if the automatic payment notification on outstanding payments is sent out, the invoice would represent the new value rather than the old. Now we start a workflow regenerating the invoice. which works fine too, but we had to set new custom events. so I think this option could be a leaner approach. 😉
