"connection reset exception" when processing external refund thru the z-api

Known Issue: "connection reset exception" when processing external refund thru the z-api

There are rare instances wherein z-api users may encounter an issue when performing a payment to a customer account in Zuora and then refund it immediately. The payment is made successfully but sometimes the refund is failing with an "org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: connection reset" exception.

The said error occurs during the process of calling the Zuora api server from the client's side. When this error happens, the process has just reached the api servers but has not the business component level -- in this case the refund transaction component.

Status: Zuora Engineering Team is currently working on this issue.

Reference Number: DE10012

Workaround: For the time being, the work around is to add a retry logic when this error is encountered in the refund process as the said transaction has not took place.
