Error Message: 116 – Credits Not Allowed

Question or Problem Statement:

 

I cannot process refunds. I get a Gateway Response Message “116 – Credits Not Allowed”

 

Why is that?

Solution:

 

This message is coming from the gateway, Merchant e-Solutions (MeS).  You'll need to contact MeS, as they need to enable a setting on their end in order to process such transaction.  You may find additional information on page 29 of the attached documentation.
