Question or Problem Statement:

Auto-Pay is set to Yes and there is an invoice due, why is the payment run skipping the invoice?

 

Solution:

There is a setting in Zuora that limits the amount of times a payment fails electronic processing before no longer attempting payment. If the default payment method reaches that number, the default payment method can no longer be used for payment processing.

To view or change the number of consecutive failed payments allowed, navigate to Settings---ZPayment Settings---Configure Payment

Retry Rules

 

If you want to continue to use the default payment method for payment processing after it has reached the maximum number of retries, the field must be reset to 0. This will allow the payment method to be used going forward. See screenshot below for counter/reset option for the payment method.
