We are excited to share an upcoming enhancement to how you interact with Zuora AI. To give you more flexibility while keeping a "human in the loop," we are introducing Supervised mode (formerly known as "Read & Write").

With Supervised mode, Zuora AI can propose data changes, like updating a rate plan, but a user must explicitly review and confirm each action before it executes. Zuora AI will never make changes on its own, ensuring you maintain complete control.

    The Phased Rollout Schedule

If your tenants were set to Read-Only prior to June 11, they are scheduled to upgrade to Supervised mode automatically on the following dates:

    • Sandbox Tenants: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
    • Production Tenants: Tuesday, July 7, 2026

If your tenant has Zuora AI disabled, it will remain disabled. You can always elect to turn on Zuora AI in the Command Center.

    Controlling Access

We want to make this transition as smooth as possible, which is why we're introducing this key feature for managing this rollout:

    • Granular Opt-Out: If your team needs more time to evaluate Supervised mode, an Organization Administrator can manually change your tenant's status back to Read-Only via Zuora OneID at any time.

    Built on Existing Security

Supervised mode will never bypass your existing permissions or Zuora AI Control definitions. A user cannot approve an AI action that they don't already have the manual permissions to perform. Furthermore, every approved action is fully attributed to the approving user in the Zuora Audit log.
