When using "Discount Charges" on a Product with a one time charge the Discount charge always shows up as Recurring - which then keeps the Discount Charge on a Renewal/Amend Quote even when the "Hide Original One-Time Charges" setting is selected. The "Hide Original One-Time Charges" is very useful to avoid confusion when users need to create renewal quotes for subscriptions that had a one-time charge such as professional services. Ideally we would like to hide the entire rate plan from the Product Selector

We want to emphasize the use the of the Product Filter, and have it expanded by default so that users use the filter effectively. In addition we'd like the option to have the Rate Plans expanded by default - particularly after the filters have been adjusted - rather than having a user click the "Select Plan" button each time.

When using Discount Charges within a rate plan we would like to prevent a user from being able to edit the Product Discount % field - they should only be able to edit the actual Discount Charge (using the hyperlink and pop-up) Currently it seems we have no option to lock this field - which means we need to use Rules Engine or Validation Rules to reactively reset to 0 and alert the user.

Hi all! We're having a hard time getting our quote templates formatted in a presentable way because of the way we use the product catalog (rate plans and charges) For any one rate plan we have 4 charges: Product Price Product Discount (%) Overage Price Overage Discount (%) Having a seperate charge for discount means that we cannot show the discounted $ value for the Product and Overage net Price on a PDF. We can only show an aggregated discount $$ value for the entire quote - pulled from Quote Metrics. We're considering Conga/Drawloop/etc for some more advanced templating capabilities and I was hoping to connect with some others that have faced the similar challenges and opted for a more advanced template management platform. Looking forward to hearing from you! Justin

Getting back to this issue: When we create a quote with future dated charges / or charges that are billed in arrears, where these rate plans have discount rate plans - we cannot create a Quote Template/pdf that makes sense. The Quote Metrics exclude the 'charges in arrears' - The Percent-Discount rate plan does not translate into a dollar value - and are not able to display a 'Total Contract Value (less discount)' or 'Monthly Recurring Fees (MRR less discount) We're left with a Quote that shows the rates plan with charge for product list price, and a discount charge with % - no dollar value. The recommendation from Support is that we adjust dates etc on the quote so that all charges are included - and then we would have to reset the dates before pushing to Zuora so that we don't invoice immediately. I'm very interested to hear how others are working around this issue. Thank you

Hi All - we are doing a whole lot of workarounds to try and get a true dollar value TCV (i.e. including discounts) This is a much needed feature - to be able to intentionally include / exclude discounts from the Total Contract Value. Do we have an ETA on this?

If a user clicks the Generate Quote button from the Quote Detail page a pop up opens, and takes upward of 10 seconds to generate the quote. And then once the quote is generated the message is very plain - can we have the abliity to customize this message. The Quote is attached to the Quote Detail page - but the page needs to be refreshed before the user can access it. If at the very least the 18char ID could be a hyperlink to the quote so that the user could download or view it that would be helpful.

Hi Boston Users
We are in the process of implementing Zuora at Carbonite - and I am working specifically on the Zuora for Salesforce component, i.e. CPQ, Guided Selling, Sync, etc.
If you have or are busy implementing the Salesforce pieces please let me know - perhaps we can meet up - I'd love to learn from you.
Thanks!
Justin
