What we'd like to see happen is for the values of the custom fields configured on the Subscription Rate Plan Charge object to be available as InvoiceItem custom fields on a template. It seems that we can use the custom fields on the template but they do not display the value. We understand that by using GroupBy we can leverage similar functionality but that does not work in this use case as using GroupBy consolidates multiple line items into one line. Hello! We have a service we are offering that we believe should be defined using the Usage Charge model as we will be charging our subscriber a fee each time an event happens. The number of events cannot not be predetermined. The events must be charged at a date to be scheduled in the future - let's say 6 months from today. What we don't know is how Zuora will handle billing if the service is cancelled 3 months from today. Will the usage that was logged for 6 months in the future still be invoiced? Secondarily, we have a business requirement that says any event logged within 1 year of contract termination will still be billed for. If the subscription is cancelled, can we still log and invoice usage to it? Thanks in advance!

Generally speaking the customer is expected to pay in arrears on their Bill Cycle Date. The first payment is expected up front and will be a pro-rated amount of services from the Service Activation Date to the Bill Cycle Date. Thanks!

We currently have 12-month term contracts with our customers but do allow them to cancel the contract prior to the end of the term. We'd like to charge customers a sort of "cancellation fee". Ideally, we are thinking we'd like to charge the customer 50% of the outstanding balance. Is there a way to do this in Zuora? If not, exactly that, how do people typically handle this situation?
