"System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object" error on connection setting

Question:

In Salesforce I go to > Zuora Config > Zuora Connection Settings >
I put in the a new api user's Username and Password

I click > "Test Connection"
When I try to Test the Connection I get this error >
"System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object"

How can I resolve this error?

Re: "System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object" error on connecti

Answer:

In this particular case, User did not use correct Url.

User just added Domain but not full URL

API URL

Specify the URL provided by Zuora, including the WSDL version that you want to use. This will typically be in the format:

<Zuora Domain URL>/apps/services/a/<version>

It should be in this format <Zuora Domain URL>/apps/services/a/<version>

More information in below KC article

Once the user has set up correct Url error is resolved.
