Salesforce Z-Quote error message "Account ID is invalid"

Customer reported the error message  "Account ID is invalid." is thrown on a Quote while trying to send it to Zuora.

In reviewing the Quote and runing the following query

 

select id,name,createdDate,zqu__subscriptionType__c,zqu__zuoraaccountid__c,zqu__existsubscriptionid__c from zqu__quote__c where id='xxxxxxxxxx'

 

it was found the quote was a  New Subscrition Quote  for an existing Billing Account with Zuora id 'xxxxxxxxx'

But, when searched in Zuora, there was no customer Account with the same Zuora id .

Apparently, this was a Quote created long back using existing Billing Account flow and later the account was deleted from Zuora.

Recreating the Quote using New Billing account, new subscription flow should resolve the error.

 

This specific customer had business restrictions for creating the Quote from Scratch again.

We  went ahead and cleared the zqu__zuoraaccountid__c, zqu__Zuora_Account_Number_c field values from that specific Quote record  and was then able to send the Quote successfully to zuora.
