Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

Greeting - You can set up a link to view invoice pdf's in Salesforce via two simple steps.

Upon saving the layout, when viewing any invoice in Salesforce, user can click on Invoice PDF link to view the PDF without having to log into Zuora.

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

Hi,    I followed instructions below, and the INVOICE PDF button works great if the Salesforce user is using Chrome or FIrefox, but when they use Internet Explorer and click on the button they are returned with a page to log into Zuora.   Can this be fixed or does the button only work with Chrome or Firefox Browser?

Hello,

Zuora recommends the latest stable versions of either Firefox or Chrome, as described in this KC article:

Do you have the version of IE and version of OS it is running on?

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

Hi @pkeeler , We have a known issue tracked with Engineering.

View Invoice PDF does not work from Salesforce using Internet Explorer Browser when Two Factor Authentication is enabled for the user that is being used in zuora 360 connection setting on Salesforce end
When Invoice PDF button is clicked, Zuora Login page is posted with the following URL

https://www.zuora.com/apps/newlogin.do?retURL=%2Fapps%2FTwoFactorAuth.do%3Fmethod%3DviewAuth

This will be fixed in a Future release (timeframe has not been determined yet)

Can you please check if Two Factor Authentication is enabled for the user that is being used in zuora 360 connection setting on your salesforce org?

Thank you
Doyeli

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

@doyeli would you be able to provide some more clarity on your last post? I am getting the same issue as the original poster, but in Google Chrome (and all browsers, it seems). The user who set up the Zuora 360 sync does not have two factor authentication enabled, so I'm not sure why it is still prompting users to log into Zuora after clicking the PDF button.

Can you provide some further information on how exactly I need to have things set up to avoid this error?

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

Hi @jwinkler Sorry for not being able to respond back earlier.

Can you please post the URL  of the Zuora login page that the user is getting when Invoice PDF button is closed

If you see expiredpassword string in the url, that means the User account being used in your Zuora 360 connection setting on SFDC end , has password expired. It is recommended you use an API user with API only role (no UI access) in this connection setting,

Else, fro now, please try resetting the password of this user and see how it goes

Thank you
Doyeli

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

@doyeli, it does not look like changing the password on the API user had any effect. This is the URL I am getting redirected to - https://zforsf.zuora.com/apps/login.do?method=redirect&retURL=%2Fapps%2FInvoice_I0.do%3Fid%3DINV0000...

I can confirm that the API user does not have 2SA enabled and has a freshly reset password. What else would be causing this?

[ Edited ]

@doyeli has there been any further investigation on this?

To add some more information, it not only redirects me to Zuora but also just lands me on the Zuora homepage rather than opening the invoice PDF. For the users this functionality will actually be used for (our CSMs), they don't even have a Zuora login, so this feature won't even be useful for them unless it allows the PDF to be viewed without any credentials.

Re: How to print an pdf invoice from salesforce

Hi @jwinkler could you please let me know the version of ZQuote  and z360 you are on?

Pls Send me your SFDC org id (grant login access) and zuora tenant id in private message and we will review and provide our input here

Thank you

Doyeli
