How do I customize my Invoice template?

Question or Problem Statement:
I would like to add a merge field into my Invoice template.For example, I would like to add UsageSummary.AccountNumber. How do I do it?

Solution:
a).To review the the doc - Merge Fields for Invoices, you should be able to see if your field is supported or not.

If it is supported, then follow the below:
1).Copy and paste a merge field from your Invoice template to the target table, you would edit this field shortly.


2).Copy the field, for example, UsageSummary.AccountNumber from that doc.

3).Right click on the pasted existing field in your Invoice template then Edit.

4).Paste UsageSummary.AccountNumber into the Field Name

b).If the field is not supported, you can try to add a custom field. Please verify if your custom field works in your Zuora tenant(it has a value), if it works, then you can add it into your Invoice template.
