We require certain custom field values to be populated in the quote charge object based on the product catalog in salesforce. This way, the data can flow as follows.
Zuora product catalog>salesforce product catalog (Zuora for salesforce)>quote charge > subscription rate plan charge
Largely this would be used to default a value in, which could then be over-ridden by the salespeople.
We will also use this to populate custom fields that we need to reference on the quote document.

We need to be able to link the Invoice Item Data Source to the Quote Charge object in Z-Quotes, so that we can identify which lines are tax lines.
Currently there is no way to identify which of the Invoice Items are tax lines. The only workaround is to take the lowest value for the Quote, but this is not a reliable or robust workaround.
In order to facilitate this link, the "Zuora Subscription Rate Plan Charge ID" must be made available in the Quote Charge object.
See Request #11438.

Status: under evaluation
Reference Number: PMT-1305
Business Need: custom client work on their SFDC tenant has repurposed the SFDC contact object for other purposes. Having to create contacts for billing contacts will break this custom work.

Feature Request: Clarify status of Z-Force sync to note if it completes successfully or with errors.
Status: Currently under evaluation
Reference Number: DE8537
Business Need: The Z-Force sync status says "Finished" but you have to click on the status to see if there are any errors. This is confusing and the customer didn't realize that it can finish with errors. It would be much clearer if the status indicated whether it finished with errors or not.

Background Example:
We have to use an 8.33% off discount to give a "month free" when the customer is paying annually. This is often given with other discounts. The problem is that the % discount is being applied to the full TCV and not to the TCV after other discounts.
Request:
It would be great if we could specify the order in which discounts should be applied.

Feature Request: Add the ability to drag and drop line items on quotes in Salesforce when using Z-Quotes
Status: under evaluation
Reference Number: DE6004
Business Need: Currently, when you add items to a quote, there is no way to reorder them. Users would have to remove them and then readd them in the new order. There are business cases wherein there is a necessity to have the ability in Salesforce when using Z-Quotes to be able to reorder products on the quote using drag and drop.

Current situation: The quantity fields in RatePlan Charge summary are restricted to 6 digits. This is by design but in Z-Billing, we allowed more than 6 digits to be inputted. Use case: Customer Z sell bundle charges with more than 6 digits in units. But Salesforce only accepts 6 units and is not letting them change that. This is managed package so there is no way customer can change it .
This is currently being evaluated on DE7335.

Feature Request: If an amendment / renewal quote is created and is not sent to Z-Billing at the time and then the subscription is amended in Zuora, later when users try to send the quote to Z-Billing, an error occurs and states that the quote's definition does not match the subscription's definition in Zuora. Enhancement - Z-Force Quotes should check and notify users that there is a newer version of the subscription, and there should be a button to sync the latest version of the subscription and add it to the quote. Users can then make necessary changes to the quote and send it to Z-Billing.
Status: Under evaluation
Reference Number: DE9156
Business Need: Users may not be able to create and send the quote over right away since they create the quote and send it to their customer who has to sign it before users install the service for the customer and then send the quote to Z-Billing. It could be a company policy to not bill someone for a product that has not been implemented yet.

Feature Request: ability to have several outstanding quotes in SFDC that would be pushed to Z-Billing regardless if the base subscription of the amendment quote has already been modified by another process
Status: under evaluation
Reference Number: DE7140
Business Need: Z-Quote users are encountering an error when pushing a quote to Z-Billing when the said quote was already existing and the subscription has been amended on Z-Billing prior to the quote push. As per the customers, from a practical standpoint, not being able to have two or more outstanding quotes for a particular subscription is a real problem and would consider this behavior as a bug. They added that Zuora quotes should not rely on the version of the subscription.
The business need is that under the current design, they cannot safely generate multiple quotes per customer subscription. For example, if a customer calls and requests a quote for product A and then subsequently calls and requests and signs a quote for product B, and then signs the earlier quote for product A, they will receive an error message when they attempt to transfer quote A to Z-Billing. And given the large size of thier customers requests for multiple quotes are not unusual. It appears that they would have to ‰Û¡ÌÝÌ retract‰Û¡ÌÝå quote A before issuing quote B. Quote B would have to consolidate the line items from quote A.

Status: under evaluation

I have a customer that uses z-quotes to setup subscriptions. Here's a breakdown of their process, which is very simple.
1. Opp created & closed
2. Z-quote created, Contract Start Date entered as today with product selected and term = 36 months
3. Send to Z Billing
4. One time charge intiatiated with trigger as contract effective date.
5. A while later (60 days) install at customer location is complete
6, Service activation date entered to begin recurring monthly fee (trigger = service activation date) (As you know this can be done via Zuora UI, API, or as amendment in Z-Quotes)
Issue 1: Subscription starts in Zuora, but as it 60 days later, the subscription will only last for 34 months. We don't want to start the 36 month subscription until customer is ready.
Without an amendment, this use case cannot be controlled from within Z-Quotes. Creating another opp and amendment to enter SA date is messy.
Ideally users in z-quotes, should be able to look at existing subscription that already has contract effective date and enter the service activation date through salesforce once their install is complete. Which pushes into Zuora.
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if I've missed something
Thank you

Feature Request: When syncing a subscription with a Discount-Fixed Amount charge to Salesforce.com, the charge is being displayed as a positive number along with other charges (e.g., recurring, one-time). This can cause a confusion to users. We should add a negative sign in front of the discount charge.
Status: Under evaluation
Reference Number: DE9815
Business Need: If the discount is shown as a negative amount in Salesforce, users can create a custom field in Salesforce to summarize the information on the subscription so it reflects the appropriate total amount.

There a button to update the contacts via a Quote but there's no way to add a new contact on a quote. If there is only 1 contact in zuora for the Bill To / Sold To you can't change the Bill To contact to a new contact without also changing the information on the Sold To as well because it's the same contact ID in Zuora. If you want 2 contacts, 1 for Bill and another for Sold, you have to create that contact in Zuora and update references on the Zuora Account. We would like to do this on the Quote.

We have Data Access Control enabled in Zuora. A custom field under Data Access Control has API name: Division__h. We need to map it to the Division custom field in Salesforce, but the API name there is and must be Division__c. Salesforce will not pick up the field from Zuora unless it also has __c ending.
Can the DAC custom field also have an API Name with __c??
