We require the Ship To to be updatable in SalesForce in order to give sales reps the means to fix their own mistakes. If reps figure out and understand that the only way to fix a site billing to the wrong account (Ship To) is to let the billing team do it, there is no incentive to get it correct from the beginning. Over the course of several years, I have found that if reps are held accountable to make sure what they input is correct, they simply won‰Û¡ÌÝå»t do it. By having it allowed in SalesForce, we can turn any disputes/issues with billing the wrong account back over to the rep to address. This will help ensure they make their best effort to get it correct from the onset, and if they don‰Û¡ÌÝå»t, they know they will the ones who have to fix it.
