Re: How to invoke a workflow from another workflow?

Thank you so much for your response. Appreciate it. Will it be possible for you to share the workflow incase you have developed it? Thinking of not reinventing the wheel again and use tried and tested solution.

Hi

The issue I mentioned before in previous reply:

@msonsma wrote:

Keep in mind that when using the Execute::Workflow task the workflow is not portable between tenants!

When you export a workflow the generated JSON output will - unfortunately -  refer the called workflow by its internal id. When you import the workflow definition on different tenant,  that id can not be found resulting in an empty Execute::workflow task with all settings lost. You have to manually select the correct workflow and setup all parameters again 😞

has been fixed in the March 19, 2021 release:

...

Enhancement to Execute Workflow task

Previously, when importing a workflow with the Execute Workflow task, you would need to import the target workflow first, and then get the ID of that workflow and update “workflow_id” with the ID when importing the workflow. We have now enhanced the "Execute: Workflow" task by searching and matching on both workflow ID and workflow name, and you will be able to import a workflow and use it in the "Execute: Workflow" task without needing to update the workflow ID.
