Creating annual invoices when Billing Period is Three/Five Years

We are looking to create a Product Rate Plan for each of the following subscription lengths (Dollar amounts are for testing only):

  • One Year ($3600 annually)
  • Three Year ($3600 annually, discounted 10% to be $3240 annually)
  • Five Year ($3600 annually, discounted 20% to be $2880 annually)

When creating these Product Rate Plan charges, we have the following Billing Periods that we can select from:

  • Annual
  • Three Year – This will create a single quote for the total 3 year value, is there a way to invoice this annually?
  • Five Year

When creating the products the Billing Period determines when the product is invoiced and we want to be able to produce an invoice annually for the 3/5 year term, but I cannot see a way to enable this in Zuora.

I do not see any options in the Zuora Rate Plan Charge or in the CPQ to allow the quote/subscription to be multiple years and billed annually.  Does anybody know how the product or subscription needs to be setup in Zuora to allow the subscription term to be 3/5 years and have an invoice created annually?

@billdavis The initial term value should be set to 36 months and the products added to the subscription should be Annual billing period.

We have this scenario where the customer signs up for 24, 36, 48, etc. months for their initial term, but will pay annually.

Do you want each year to be billed at a difference price?  If so that can be done with a ramp deal.

Thanks ehavens, we will be leveraging the initial term to set the length of the contract and will use the billing period as annual.  Currently, each year will have the same price regardless of term length which does not require the ramp deals.
