The subscriptions that are not renewed ( either manual or auto) on the renewal due date should be marked as 'expired' once the renewal due date is past.
Currently, it continues to be displayed as 'Active' which is misleading.

We are just coming into Zuora, and we have many scenarios where our customers may have multiple products with multiple different renewal dates. This is translating into multiple subscriptions as we get them loaded into the system. Going forward, our reps would love to be able to combine and co-terminate these subscriptions to make things simpler for our customers where possible, but at the moment we're telling them that they have to manually transfer all of the lines from the old subscriptions to the new subscriptions because there is no capacity to join these together. This would be a great help for us, and I'm sure for many other new customers coming on to the Zuora platform!

In current UI functionality if a One-Time rate plan charge has been added to a subscription but not yet billed, there is no way to Amend the value of the One Time Fee. The Update Product amendment will not allow you to change either the price or quantity. While I can understand this if it was already invoiced, not being able to update an unbilled One-Time fee is a real issue. The only workaround i have been able to find is to remove the product and add it back again, requiring two amendments (Remove Product and New Product) instead of one (Update Product).

Create functionality to allow an effective date for rate plan pricing. This functionality would allow pricing to be entered in advance of the "go live" date and would be a building block for future functionality around communication of pricing increases for renewals to customers ahead of time; the ability to get a correct price if increases are coming and there are amendments taking affect during the next renewal cycle; as well as forcasting revenue with future pricing included

Feature Request: Ability to Clone a Subscription both for the same customer and for another customer
Reference Number: DE2961
Business Need:
Replicate a customer's existing subscription for 1) the same customer 2) another customer We have service configurations with multiple (maybe 10) components that are used multiple times for a single customer. The configuration may also be applicable for different customers too. So, it would be very efficient if we could have the ability to clone subscriptions.

Business scenarios that utilize an overage model with a Rolling Window where the overage violations are paid immediately the only way to change this value is by using both a delete and add amendment to change out the product. Can we look into enable users to simply update the number of "Included Units" on the Amendment page (when their company is using the Rolling Window?

It would be really helpful if we could add/remove columns under Subscriptions & Amendments - Subscriptions-Owned on the customer account. Example: if we wanted to remove the List of Products column and replace it with the rate card instead.

We have a general problem with the dates in zuora. We have a lot of customer that sometimes order wrong amount, wrong type of users, more of the same user in the same month and such. So the problem are that we aren't aloud to add on more users and so with an earlier contract effective date than the last customer acceptance date (on the same product/user). This is incredibly important for us as we have many customers who like to order the same product / users multiple times during a month and we then get problem with the admission with regard to the dates.

in B2C businesses we often find that we need to cancel a subscription due to nonpayment ... An issue arises when a customer then makes a payment on the open invoice. We are unable to remove a cancellation once it is made. If we were able to remove the cancellation it would allow us to reinstate the subscription service without overly complicating the data with a newly created subscription.

In our company we often have yearly subscriptions for our customers. It happenes from time to time that a customer cancels their subscription, but want to use our services for a couple of months into the new subscription period but not the whole subscription period. At the moment you can not cancel a subscription in Zuora that has not had auto-renewal. It seems that for Zuora this subscription exists til the next auto-renewal date and not after that. In practice this means that we have to have a list of changes in subscriptions outside of Zuora and remember to add this information through amendments once the auto-renewal has been executed by Zuora. We would like to have a possibility to add information about cancellation or other changes to subscription even before the auto-renewal has been executed. This would defenintely make our lives a lot easier.

We're trying to design a new subscription email (HTML) that properly explains the quantities included and the overage price. The current <Subscription.SubscriptionDetailTable> doesn't do the job (it shows blanks for units and price, presumably because there are no overage quantities at the time of subscription).
We need to be able to parse out all of the subscription parameters (units included, overage charge, etc., for each component) so that the email actually makes it clear - right now, the only thing that comes out correct from that table is the recurring charge and the plan name.
Here is how it looks now:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charge Name: Clients
Charge Type: Usage
Effective Start Date: 11/06/2015
Unit Price:
QTY:
Total: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charge Name: 111111Plan
Charge Type: Recurring
Effective Start Date: 11/06/2015
Unit Price: 500.00
QTY: 1.00
Total: 500.00
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charge Name: Billable Devices
Charge Type: Usage
Effective Start Date: 11/06/2015
Unit Price:
QTY:

It would be beneficial to have "show active" and "hide cancelled" options at the subscription, invoice, and customer account levels in order to remove uncessary data from our screens.

I'd like to have the ability to charge only the first n months for a recurring charge in a subscription.
Eg:
I have a product rate plan that has a recurring charge, and I'd like the client to pay for only the first 3 months. Eg: pay $50/month for only a period of 3 months. I have an active subscription that contains other charges than the one mentioned above , hence I do not want to have a subscription of 3 months only.
I still want to have the charges and their amount in the subscription for reporting purposes, hence do not want to consider having an amendment after the first 3 months.

Feature Request: Ability to to edit the included units for Rolling Window charge in an Amendment
Status: currently being review by our Product Management
Reference Number: DE8310
Business Need: customer Z have customers who sign up for annual bundles. Because the bundles are annual they use the rolling window to keep track of their usage each month, so when they do go over their bundle amount they can charge them for overages. In some case when the customer goes over their bundle amount they purchase an additional add-on amount to the original bundle amount. So now they have a new usage amount to track for the remainder of the term. This is why they are requesting if we can have a feature to amend the subscription to update the rolling window amount.

Concerning renewals in Zuora, is there any plan to apply logic in the Bill Run process that would allow Zuora to recognize that the initial subscription has a balance on it and thus NOT auto renew the subscription and create an invoice for the renewal? For example, “if subscription balance is greater than $0.00, do not create bill”? Maybe even error those out to a list that could be reviewed and worked by sales separately? I cannot find very much documentation around auto renewals.

Currently Subscriptions allow us to either Invoice Together or Invoice Separately, however there is no option to group a selection of Subscriptions to invoice together. Especially for customer accounts with numerous subscriptions, it would be very useful to be able to create invoice groups and then assign subscriptions to them. This would allow for greater control over how we invoice our customers as well as allowing us to reduce the number of actual invoices which we need to send to our clients.

In current functionality when you are creating an amendment to a subscription in the UI once the Amendment Type has been saved it cannot be changed. If the wrong Amendment Type has been selected, the only way to correct this is to delete the "draft" amendment and start over. It would be very useful to be able to change the Amendment Type rather than having to back out the partial change. There are two cases where i often wish i had this function: 1) If I start an New / Update Product amendment and then realize that I need to update the Terms and Conditions first 2) I often attempt to Update a Rate Plan only to find out that the change i need requires me to Remove it and add a New Product instead In both of these cases getting to my end result requires multiple additional steps just to change the Amendment Type. ie. Additional Steps: 1) Delete current draft amendment 2) Return to Account Page 3) Reopen Subscription 4) Create new Amendment If the option to change Amendment Type was available after being selected, it would drastically improve workflow. I would imagine the feature like so: 1) Click Edit 2) Change Amendment Type

If you visit Usage/Add Usage Records, there is an option to download a Usage File Template. One of the columns is named 'CHARGE_ID'. However, if I populate that with a Zuora record ID like '2c92c0f85753deba015757c077ba4766', my uploaded usage is silently ignored. If I populate it with a Charge Name, like C-00019853', my usage record is uploaded. I think this is a bug. See SOAP API Object Reference for Usage.

Currently when an amendment is created to add a product to a subscription after clicking on "Add New Product & Rate Plan" a Dropdown search box is made available where we search for the product we would like to choose a rate plan from. This search however only returns products based on the first word of the product. ie. if a product has a name of "Best Product Ever Silver" only searches which begin with the word "best" will return this result. The requested functionality would be to be able to do multi-directional searching on the string so that this product would be included in the result set for search's which start with the words "Product", "Ever", or "Silver." ( in a query this would be: Where product like '%xxxxx%', instead of: Where Product like 'xxxx%' ) This would be very useful when there are multiple products with similar names or having the same prefix and the distinguishing factor is in the last couple of words / characters.

We want to setup a multi-year subscription where by when the subscription is renewd for the 2nd year, the discount that our customer receives diminishes (but crucially still exists). So consider the following: Subscription, initial term 12 months, renewal 12 months, with Annual Recurring Charge with Discount-Percentage charge set to 40%. On renewal, we want the Discount-Percentage charge to decrease to 30%. Now one could argue "why not just have the 40% charge disappear all together"? Well, we have a business requirement to display the this particular discount on all charges that it relates to, further more it would be great if the discount could slide further to 20% yr 2 should want to model it like that.
