Feature Request: Option to have Fixed Amount Discounts Prorate on early cancellation
Reference Number: DE5560 / PMT-650
Business Need: Currently if you have a Fixed Amount Discount on a subscription which is canceled early, items on the subscription other than the discount item prorate, but the discount does not. Some customers would like an option or setting that makes a fixed amount discount to behave like a flat fee item and prorate upon early cancellation just like a non-discount item.

Update the REST API response for get Subcription to include the product SKU value. Additional queries are required to retrieve the product SKU which increases the number of api calls and response time needed to get this information. Product information currently exists in the Get Subscription REST call. It would be beneficial to have the SKU included in the API response.

To be able to manage Short Term Subscription , that means few days (less than 1 month) between Term Start Date and Term End Date, we request the possibility to enter term value as number of days. (as an alternative to number of months, currently only permitted).
In that way we can manage easily short term subscription period to populate correctly Term End date without workaround (such as using other dates that are not designed for).
This feature should be very useful to target short term subscription market (travel insurance, short term car rental...)

Feature Request: Currently, Zuora only allows users to preview a subscription via the subscribe() call when creating a new subscription. For an existing subscription, users cannot preview it via our API. Users have to log into Zuora UI to preview an existing subscription. We need an API function that allows users to preview existing subscriptions.
Reference Number: DE7874
Business Need: Users may not have access to Zuora UI and they need to preview existing subscriptions.

Feature Request: User would like to be able to cancel subscriptions with cancellation date in a closed accounting period
Reference Number: PMT-222

For example, customer fails to make a payment(s), and as a business requirement, the subscription needs to be cancelled. After the latest payment attempt, the accounting period has been closed, so user should be allowed to go back and cancel the subscription.

Feature Request: Ability to create a Discount-Fixed Amount or Discount-Percentage type of ChargeModel for a ProductRatePlanCharge using API
Reference Number: DE7316
Business Need:
Currently, when multiple ProductRatePlanCharges with a ChargeModel type Discount need to be created, the only way to do it is using the UI. When there is a large amount of this ProductRatePlanCharges this becomes tedious and time consuming, allowing the API to mirroe the UI functionality will greatly improve efficiency.

Feature Request: Allow ability to amend a subscription dated into a period where a bill run has already been executed but there was not an invoice
Reference Number: DE5534
Issue description: Customers cannot cancel a subscription or remove a charge from the subscription on the subscription start date once the subscription has been processed by a bill run with a target date later than the invoice through date of this subscription. For example, a subscription with an annual charge starts on 01/01/2011 and an invoice was generated for the period from 01/01/2011 - 12/31/2011. If a bill run was processed against this account with a target date later than 01/01/2012, even if there is no invoice generated, the subscription cannot be cancelled or no amendment cannot be created with Contract Effective Date as 01/01/2011.
Business Need: Some customers would like Zuora to support Balance Forward accounting so that they can cancel a subscription or amend a charge on the subscription start date even the subscription has been processed by a bill run with a target date later than the invoice through date, so that without modifying the invoice, there will be a negative invoice generated.
Workaround: Process an amendment that would "add" the same Product Rate Plan and set the price to the same NEGATIVE amount.

Feature Request: Right now in SFDC, under a quote, we have the following. - Start Date = Zuora's Contract Effective Date and Term Start Date - Service Activation Date = Zuora's Service Activation Date - Customer Acceptance Date = Zuora's Customer Acceptance Date Users cannot set Contract Effective Date and Term Start Date separately. We should add another field in SFDC called Term Start Date and this field should set the date for the Term Start Date in Zuora.
Reference Number: DE7636/PMT-111
Business Need:
Customers have some cases in which they want to the contract to start on one day but actually charge the customer on a later day. The problem is that in SFDC they cannot set Contract Effective Date and Term Start Date different from each other. As a result, if the subscription have - Contract Effect Date / Term Start Date on 01/01/2011 - An Initial Term is 12 months - An annual product charge starting on Service Activation Date which is 02/01/2011 Zuora only charges for the product from 02/01/2011 to 12/31/2011 (11 months) because the subscription itself ends on 12/31/2011. Customers want to charge for the product from 02/01/2011 to 01/31/2011 (a whole year) instead.

Hi,
I have a client interested in enabling invoice owner ability in the Create Account REST subscribe call.
Is this on the roadmap?
Thanks,
Kyle

The current GetSubscription REST call returns the lastchange type of the rateplan. This doesn't allow for us to determine the active charges when we have future dated amendments and using this call to show customers current subscription. The REST API call should include the effective for all charges: past, current, or future charges.
