Subscription status should be really affect the status, not only in UI

Feature Request: Subscription status should be really affect the status, not only in UI

Reference Number: DE8715 / PMT-648

Business Need: The subscription status should really reflect its status, not always stays "Active" even if the subscription is out of term or if it does not have any rate plans on it, so far it only displayed in one place in the UI. When query the subsription status via the API and in reporting, etc, this field cannot be used to count "active" subscription.

For one of our customers this is also a problem. For termed subscriptions without auto-renew which are past their end-of-term, the status stays on 'active'. This makes it difficult in Salesforce to see whether these subscriptions are still really active.
