What charge are included in Unprocessed Charges?

In accounting period, once trial balance has been run, we can see unprocessed charges, but what charges will be included in Unprocessed Charges? What Critierials are using to locate those charges?

Re: What charge are included in Unprocessed Charges?

The unprocessed charges are the ones that have NOT BEEN INVOICED for the accounting period when the trial balance was ran. Zuora tries to notify users these charges so they can generate invoices for them. Users can also ignore them and close the accounting period any way. In that case, these charges will not be invoiced for this accounting period.

Firstly, unprocessed charge will not included any discount charges. And here is the criteria:

 - If the charge has never been billed yet, and its effective start date is <= Accounting Period End Date, its effective end date is > Accounting Period Start Date, we include this charge as unprocessed charge.

 - If the charge has been billed before, then if it is not one-time charge, then when the charge's charge through <= Accounting Period End Date, charge's effective end date is null or >= Accounting Period Start Date, we include this charge as unprocessed charge.

Re: What charge are included in Unprocessed Charges?

Hi Yvonne,

Thanks for posting this. I have a follow up on the billed scenario.

Account Period: 1-Sep-2019 to 30-Sep-2019

Charged Through Date: 29-Sep-2019

Invoice service period: 28-Sep-2019 to 28-Sep-2019

Charge End Date: null

The charge was partially recognised in August 2019 and revenue schedule shows partial due to be recognised in September 2019.

According to the logic below, this charge was "not invoiced" in the September 2019 accounting period but there is no action required as it will get recognised in September 2019.

Why would it still be flagged in the report?
