Open source Zuora client from Zendesk

Zendesk has recently open-sourced a Ruby interface to Zuora’s REST API. It’s called IronBank: https://github.com/zendesk/iron_bank/

IronBank has a couple of really exciting features:

  • Zuora objects can be queried using Ruby language conventions, with associations defined on objects. E.g., Account objects have a bill_to method that queries the associated "Bill To" contact of the Account.

  • Objects that change very infrequently - notably the product catalog - are cached locally, so that they don’t need to be fetched from Zuora on every request. This is definitely a Zuora best practice!

Check out this Medium article from Mickaël Pham at Zendesk for a fantastic introduction to IronBank:
