Custom Objects service availability?

API documentation says the Custom Objects service in In Development.

Any ETA when this feature will be released ?

@apurva-desai says in this post that it'll be in Limited Availability in the Winter '20 release, but I'm not sure how to translate that into the release (I think we're on release 272). 

Does anyone else have more information?

Hi all, 

Custom Objects is currently still in development, and we plan to make the feature generally available in the next month or two. That being said, we have just opened the feature for early access in all API Sandbox tenants so that you can start evaluating your use cases against it.
