Why am I not getting the credit for prorated fixed amount discounts?

Question: I have a 12 month subscription with 2 monthly recurring charges and 1monthly fixed amount discount charge. We generated the first invoice as below.

Then we cancelled the subscription with cancellation date as 08/20/2018 and generated the final invoice as below.

Why didn’t I get the credit for the prorated discount in the final invoice?

Answer:

Zuora has an ability to provide the credit for prorated discounts. There is a backend feature named as "Credit for proration discount” which gives this behavior. This feature is in Limited Availability. If you wish to have access to the feature, submit a request at Zuora Global Support
 
You can find more details about this feature in below documentation. Refer the “Credit for prorated discounts” section of the documentation.
 
Once this feature is enabled, you will see the final invoice generated after the cancellation of the subscription will have the credit for the prorated discounts as below.

See $30.45 prorated discount amount listed on the invoice.
