Payment errors - short description of each type of common error

Hello,

I have been attempting to find information as to what each type of payment error means.

It would be AWESOME if someone could write a post with a short description/definition of these common payment errors, so that I (and other users) can better understand what is going on, and to appropriately explain to the customer as to why the payment received an error:

110 -- Insufficient Funds (I understand that one 🙂

349 -- Do Not Honor

322 -- Invalid Transaction

301 -- Invalid Account Number

327 -- Cardholder transaction not permitted

350 -- Generic Decline

303 -- Pick Up Card

Thank you!!

Hi @akeith

What gateway are you referencing?

Since Zuora serves as pass-through for gateway response, each response code will generally be tied to the gateway's standard error response set which is typically documented on the gateway support/help site and subject to change as they introduce new code or feature.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the quick response.

We use "Use Default Gateway".

Hi AK,

Which specific processor have you designated as your default? As Scott mentioned above, the error codes come from the gateway so we'll need that to provide the proper reference for you.

A quick way to find out would be to check the following:

Settings > Z-Payment Settings > Setup Payment Gateway

One of these gateways should be designated as your "default."
