Answer: Yes.  It is possible.  Please see the below steps:

1. Click on "Customer Accounts" link.

2. On the right side, click on "Export Customer Accounts".

3. Click the "Export" button.

4. Click the "Refresh" button on the right side until the "Export Status" for the file is "Completed".

5. Click on the "CustomerAcounts.ZIP" to download it.

6. Unzip the file and you should see 3 files(Contact, CustomerAccount and PaymentMethod).

7. Open up the "Contact".

8. Update the fields(ie..address, zip..etc) you want to change.

9. Save the file.

10. Go back to "Customer Accounts" link

11. On the right side, click on drop down for "Import" field.

12. Choose "Contacts"

13. Click the "Browse" button and find the file you saved in step 9.

@thooker, for new accounts, the method described above will not work; it is meant more for updating data on existing customer accounts.

One thing that customers have done to work with the ID requirement is to do the following:

  • Create the basic account first so you can get a unique ID
  • Use the method described in the post to load in all the other details.

Depending on what you're trying to accomplish with account creation, it may be easier to develop thing to do the account creation via API.

A third option is if you have Zuora Connect's Developer Tools which does have an Account API Loader which will allow you to create and edit account details via a CSV file. The tool itself does a lot more (info here) and if you're interested, I'd contact your Customer Success representative.
