How do I change the transaction title on my users' Billing Statements?

Question:

How can we change the title of the transaction on the user's credit card statement.

Currently it says something similar to ONLINE PAYMENT PROCESSED, but we want to change it to our organisation's name.

Solution:

In most cases, this is something you'd have to ask your Payment Gateway, as they are in charge of processing transactions, hence they should be able to change the name of it.

An example of some Payment Gateways and their recommended method of changing the title of transactions on customer' statements are as follows:

Authorize.net

BlueSnap

Braintree

GoCardless

PayPal

Stripe

WorldPay

In some cases, Zuora can handle this process by passing in the payment gateways specific field, such as:

Orbital (Chase)

Verifi

If you want to ensure your customers see your name on their bank statements with GoCardless, then contact your account manager. They will help you get a scheme identifier that will do that job!
