I like the new look with the new sidebar, however the sidebar does not appear to have clickable "links" like the rest of the page. I use this a lot in my daily work with Zuora to "open in a new tab" by right clicking on "Customer Accounts" or "Product Catalogue" so I dont have to leave the page I'm currently working on to go work on something else. This would be great if this functionality could be integrated into the new look! Thanks!

Per Zuora Support Request #106568: "I've discussed the issue with our Product team and at present, the new REST APIs are not yet supported in our Production copy environments." Our engineering team(s) use production copy (services) environments as a staging environment for the purposes of development. Without support of the new REST API in services environments we will be unable to complete any work using the new Zuora REST API

There is no callout notification that is triggered when creating a *new* PaymentMethod. Furthermore, creating a new PaymentMethod does not seem to trigger ANY of the available callout notifications, even as a coincidental side effect. This creates a big gap in our custom integration. Customers create and update their credit card info in the browser, which talks directly to Zuora. For new subscriptions, we can use a callout notification, which means we do not have to rely on the browser to tell our app what the result of the APi call was (the browser could terminate, be flaky, etc.). Using the browser as an intermediary here is not reliable. But when someone updates their credit card (again, in their browser using the Zuora REST API), we are creating a new PaymentMethod. We need a callout notification here.

Hello Zuora Support,
In salesforce we have the option to create "full" copy of production environment in a full salesforce sandbox environment.
Do you have the same in Zuora or are you planning to have the same functionality in Zuora please ? It would be great to have the configurations and at least be able to have a subset of production data in a Zuora sandbox environment, for example via an environment 'refresh functionality'.
Thanking you in advance
Kind regards
Madhvi

This would be more in line with standard web integration practices and would considerably simplify the application integration programming for our customers. This is under consideration by Product Management but not yet in our road map. Kindly reference to DE7193 for this enhancement request.

It would be helpful for key individuals in our company to be notified when significant account events occur: Account cancelled, account deleted (this is a really big one for us) and autopay disabled with default payment method being a credit card (as opposed to "Credit Card"). Is this something that is practical and/or possible?

Currently, there are c for many events on important objects (let's take, for this example, invoices) that allow timely callouts to external systems. Unfortunately, the current callouts are very limited and prevent a good implementation of an external service being synced in an efficient way to Zuora as they are lacking update and delete event notifications. For important objects, one should be able to set a callout on update or delete, not just insert. Having an insert-only callout doesn't enable efficient integration as it requires the receiving service to make many, many unnecessary queries to keep in sync with Zuora as it will never otherwise know if an object has been altered or deleted.

Oauth has only limited support in Zuora. I would really like to have my script that accesses Zuora via API authenticate using OAUTH. Pretty please, can we have this? Also, perhaps there should be an ideas forum for API?

Customers are requesting better support for notifications on Invoices that are past due. Current Invoices Past Due notification is only sent once a month. The ask instead is to be able to create a notification to be sent whenever an Invoice is X days past the due date. It would also be nice to be able to send this notification X days before the due date, as a reminder.

Feature Request:
There is an issue involving time zone difference and the Zuora's servers running solely on a GMT-08:00 time zone.
- The issue is that the invoice due date's time validation when triggering a Bill Run with an Invoice Date using the "date today" is based on the user's local machine time. However, the option to "apply the Credit Balance" from within the Invoice detail page under the option "more" is based on the server time (GMT-08:00).
Status: this request is already in the road map
Reference Number: DE8371
Business Need:
The problem is that when applying Credit Balance to an invoice, an option to change date is not available. Thus, it always defaults to GMT-08:00 time zone.
Unfortunately, both the web UI and z-api have the same validation logic. You cannot apply the Credit Balance to future dated invoices -- future dated in a sense that that date today is based on the server time (GMT-08:00).
Since there are several Zuora users not residing on a GMT-08:00 location, they have to wait for the GMT-8 time to strike 12am for them to start the task of applying a credit balance.
The request is to introduce a Time Zone feature that would automatically fix all dates in the system, like allowing users to configure a timezone in their environments, and not only the credit balance date problem.

We want to keep the data in the Contact and Account objects synchronized with our internal CRM system. It would be very helpful if we could be notified via the callout mechanism when fields change on the Contact or Account objects.

Can you guys move these buttons away from each other? This is an abhorrent UX decision. I’m rarely aggressive with suggestions like this because I know how hard it is to work on a product/engineering team - but come on, right? This could be fixed/moved somewhere less dangerous with very minimal work.

We have had a couple of occasions where callouts have failed as many times as the maximum attempt count due to connection timeouts, and we have only found out from customers reporting issues.
When these repeated failures are application-level errors in our system it's fine, because we monitor these errors and check/address any issues. But for other cases we may never see the callout and therefore can't report on whether it was processed successfully (e.g. if the problem is networking and the failures are connection timeouts).
It would be helpful if we could:
- (a) receive an email notification when a callout fails after the nth retry (where n is based on the max number of attempts configured), so that we can follow up on these immediately. It is a risk for us that we can miss cancellation/payment etc. notifications which means our system becomes out of sync with Zuora.
- (b) report more easily on these (e.g. list all callbacks which failed >= [max number of attempts])

Feature Request: Add the ability to set a time zone for a tenant that would reflect when transactions execute
Status: under evaluation
Reference Number: DE5584
Business Need: Currently all transactions done through the UI are time stamped with Pacific Time. This causes confusion for businesses out of Pacific Time Zone and extra work to explain when the dates appear off and/or additional work to make sure things don't get posted out of sync with Pacific Time are needed. Allow each tenant to let the end user define their operating time zone and let that drive the time/date of transactions.

This KC article says that I can contact support and get some sample code for Platform Extension. I contacted support, and was told that Platform Extensions are no longer supported, and I was not given the code. That KC page needs to be fixed or dropped. Also, there should perhaps be an Ideas forum for documentation?

For developing with the new Zuora REST API it would be useful for us to get the Zuora Entity classes, e.g. Product, RatePlan, etc. (especially Java classes would be helpful). Is there any chance to get them? Or do we have to create our own entity classes by typewriting every field we get as JSON response from the REST call?

REST API provided to extract data from Zuora objects seem to create files locally and there is no existing process to clean these up. This grows over time and clogs the storage space on Zuora servers. Recently this was brought to our attention and I suggested the following options. 1) Provide the API user permission to delete the extracted files post processing 2) Have Zuora implement an automated purge process that will clean up files older than 7 days Unfortunately, none of the above are supported in the product feature stack today and I would like Zuora to add this enhancement.
