Hi Fiona- This doesn't apply to product catalog items, the limit is being applied to subscriptions/accounts. So, a combination of accounts/subscriptions should not exceed 5000 records. We will clarify in the posting as well.

Zuora continues to invest in increasing the value of our platform for our customers. In recent years we have delivered significant improvements to our platform, including System Health Dashboard, Unified Monetization, HTML Invoice Templates, Deployment Manager, Data Loader, etc. In order to continue with this speed of innovation and manage infrastructure cost, we are introducing the following limits to our Zuora Billing test environments.
On January 1, 2024 the following limits will apply to API and/or developer sandboxes:
New Limits:
- API SBX
- Record Storage Limit: 5,000 (e.g. 2,500 Accounts and 2,500 Subscriptions)
- API Rate Limit: 10,000 API calls within a 24 hour window
- Developer Sandbox
- Record Storage Limit: 250,000
- API Rate Limit: 50,000 API calls within a 24 hour window
What this means to you:
- API sandboxes without storage limits will no longer be sold as of January 1, 2024
- At renewal, you will no longer be able to store data exceeding the above limits; to create new records, you will need to ensure that data records remain below the threshold
- New API Rate Limits will apply to each of Sandbox environment type, impacting the volume of API calls you are able to make against an API Sandbox or Developer Sandbox within a 24 hour window
