We're pleased to share the latest updates to Zuora's Avalara e-invoicing integration for France. These enhancements support the September 2026 French mandate and provide more flexibility for reporting and invoice lifecycle management.
What changed
Multiple e-reporting templates
You can now create and manage multiple Avalara e-reporting templates for France invoice and payment reporting. Templates can be assigned by transaction type, including sales documents and payments, to support different reporting scenarios.
This makes it easier to manage country-specific reporting requirements while keeping configuration within Zuora.
France e-invoice business status updates
Zuora now supports business status updates for France e-invoicing workflows. Users can update the business status of an e-invoice directly in Zuora, while status updates received through Avalara/CDAR are synchronized automatically.
This helps keep buyer and seller lifecycle information aligned after an invoice is issued.
Audit history for status changes
Business status changes now include audit history showing the previous status, new status, source or actor, and timestamp. This provides greater visibility into invoice lifecycle changes and supports regulatory traceability.
Separate authority-status visibility
Zuora also provides a separate, read-only authority status for e-invoice business lifecycle and e-reporting records. This distinguishes the status returned by the tax authority from Zuora's internal business status and processing state.
