Tool Tip: In-App Notifications - Quarterly Releases

We opened the session with a Tool Tip on our new in-app notifications on Zuora’s quarterly releases which is designed to alert users about upcoming scheduled releases, release completions, and ad-hoc deployments through automatic pop-ups and a dedicated notifications icon within the app.

Mass Action is a feature that allows users to apply common operations across multiple lines in a batch. Supported actions include Accounting and Performance Obligation at both RC and transactional levels. 


Common Business Scenarios for Mass Action

Transaction gets loaded into the revenue system with Project Number (ATR5), this gets missed in the integration mapping and the Mass action batch created with a filter value to update Project Number in the transaction.

What’s New in Mass Action

  1. Mass Action - Update Attributes

    • Before: This page is more convoluted, the filter criteria is defaulted to three values.

    • Now: This page is is more user friendly with up to 20 attributes can be updated

  2. Mass Action - Holds

    • Before: The holds functionality supported through Mass Action is only Line level and RC level

    • Now: In addition to the line  and RC level hold the POB level hold also supported

  3. Mass Action - Release & Defer

    • Before: The action of defer and release only for the percentage based

    • Now: In addition to the percentage for the rec and def action the start and end date for the action also supported.

  4. Mass Action - filter criteria Values

    • Before: The multiple filter criteria values are only allowed through manual input

    • Now: The  multiple filter criteria values through  IN operator  can be inserted from the local machine using the upload option.

  5. Mass Action - Contract Modification

    • Before: No Contract modification rule code derived based on the Mass action trigger

    • Now: When the CV eligible flag is flipped through Mass Action this get  updated through contract modification rule code.

  1. Profile Setup - Enable SFC in the “Application” -> Profile

  2. Policy Setup - Setup the significant financing component under “Financing” section 

  3. Financing Principle Amount

  4. Transactional Data Loaded (CSV/Integration)

    1. Upload or send the transactional data with below standard attributes populated:

      1. Financing Flag -> “Y” for any lines that eligible for financing interest

      2. Annual Financing rate -> Interest rate (Discount rate)

  5. Payment/Invoice schedule Data Load Options

  6. Payment schedule upload

  7. Revenue Contract - Financing

  8. CA/CL Classification for SFC

  9. Reporting
