OneID August Office Hours - Q&A

August 6th marked the last of our monthly OneID office hours. All of our past sessions are in the Community Resource Library where you can review onboarding to OneID with single sign-on, API users, user groups and more.

Our last session focused on general Q&A and you can view the highlights below:

Update on Deprecation Timeline

  1. How come things don't seem to be deprecated until 31 October now?
  2. If we didn’t ask for an extension, why would it be saying its not switching off until 31/10?

OneID - Multi Org support

  1. When will OneID fully support Multi Org?

SCIM provisioning

  1. When will we have SCIM support for Entra?
  2. is there any known issue due to OAUTH Token to have 1 hour session time? with Entra? how is it different with OKTA or other IDP ?
  3. When will creating OAUTH credentials for billing be available via OneID?

Permission Management in OneID

  1. When is it possible to set the permissions of a role in OneID, too?
  2. Will we be able to manage which tenants an admin has access too, we have admins that should only provide access to non production environments but this is not seem to be currently possible?
  3. I have noticed an admin can edit their own access in a tenant. Our auditors will flag this a major risk, is there a plan to address this?

User Migrations

  1. Is there an operation to migrate users from other tenants to one ID, in bulk?

And is there also a way to merge accounts that are the same user, eg in one tenant they are jane.doe@website.com and jane.doe####@website.com?

  1. What happens if two users in a tenant have the same email Id? We have Psuedo system users for which we use one of the Admin's email.
  2. We had an issue with some consultants who already had access on another company to us and when I wanted to use their standard email address it told me it was already in use - but i couldn;t see it ans it was on another company not visible to me. We had to get pseudo emails so they could have access
  3. Once we have users migrated to one ID , how will the Audit work on an instance? for e.g .. pre migration users are logged in via the old way and now we have a new way using one ID. if we are looking for some audit reports on Data, we should be able to identify who did what over a period right?

Other Queries

  1. Is there an update on why the new Data Query tool does not load in OneID, and when that issue will be resolved?
  2. Can you assign a user to multiple groups?
  3. Can you shed some light on how the multi-entity tenant looks like in Zuora OneId?
  4. When is the revenue specific office hours related to one ID?
    One ID and the Netsuite Connector for Zuora Revenue will be on August 13, 2024
