Ask the Community

We're glad that you're here and want to be sure that you're getting the most out of the Community. Don't worry that you don't have all of the answers because your questions can help others too!  Check out the following best practices to asking questions in the Community to help get the answers you need.

Search First

Search the Community to find answers or contribute to questions that might have already been asked, or start a new discussion to get insights from other Zuora users who have had similar experiences.

Use a Descriptive Title

Keep the title brief but specific to your question. If you're not sure, try adding the title when you've finished asking your question.

Provide Context

Give the reader some background as to the problem that you're trying to solve like what steps you took to get to where you currently are, etc. It's best to have this information before you share any screenshots or code.

Add Screenshots and Examples

As they say, "A picture speaks a thousand words" so a screenshot, code, error codes, will help others diagnose the issue.

Share Previous Attempts

To avoid suggestions that you've already tried, it's important to tell others about your previous attempts and the steps you took and KC articles you've read.

Don't Share Private Information

If you are unsure about sharing something, it's best to err on the side of caution. Things not to share would be email addresses, tenant IDs, account numbers, etc.

Check-In and Follow-Up

Make sure your group notifications are ON. That way if someone responds to your post, you'll be notified about it. It's also important to follow-up on your post and share your solution to help others who might have the same issue.

Show Appreciation

Has someone helped you through your problem? Show your appreciation by "liking" their post or even better, marking their response as the Best Answer. These small engagements help boost the confidence in others and you might make a new professional connection!
